Don’t Shoot the Messenger

2008 June 18

We strive to bring you the most updated and accurate information from all of our manufacturers and vendors. Unfortunately, sometimes that means bringing bad news as well…

  • KMC Controls will be increasing their prices on certain products beginning on August 11, 2008. The cause is a dramatic increase in raw materials and transportation costs, which has occurred worldwide. In their press release, KMC stated that they have had to double prices for certain products, but have managed to keep popular products, like electric actuators and certain valves, at a minimum increase.
  • Unfortunately, Ruskin has also been forced to increase prices due to the high cost of steel and transportation. Alps customers have not experienced a price increase on Ruskin products since June of 2006 despite numerous increases in the cost of steel since that time. According to a release issued by Ruskin, the new prices will be effective July 14 2008.

We will keep you updated as to how this will affect our prices. If you have any questions about what this means for you and your projects, please don’t hesitate to ask.
