Our new Global Sales Director Josh Felperin brings an extraordinary level of experience to us at alpscontrols — including 13 years at Siemens as a Senior National Sales Manager for its building automation channel.

Josh was a Territory Manager at Siemens in 2008, where at the beginning of his tenure he worked through a one-year program in which he received hands-on experience in all facets of their building automation parts business. From working in the factory and actually assembling valves and actuators, to product testing, customer service, marketing— the whole bit. To hear him tell it, this program had much to do with building a solid foundation for Josh in which he was able to understand not just the parts he was selling, but the needs of the customers who were buying them. Then Josh was promoted and given responsibility for the company's territory that covered New York City and New Jersey, an assignment he managed for the next 3½ years. This job gave him insight and firsthand experience in the work of the contractors he served. "I'm pretty sure I've been inside every mechanical room throughout Manhattan and New Jersey," Josh says, and over time he also took over responsibility for Siemens' southeast territory. Throughout this time, Josh worked every day with contractors, consulting engineers, and end users, promoting Siemens' robust product portfolio, and building trusting relationships based on the many successes of his customers. And Josh's most recent position with Siemens was as Senior National Sales Manager, where he managed the growth of their indirect building automation channel while directing a national, diversified team of ten Territory Managers. Now he's starting his new job with us as our Global Sales Director. We're a little giddy just thinking about the deep breadth of product knowledge, extraordinary relationships throughout our industry's supply chain, and the passion that he's always brought to his work.Josh tells us that his decision to join alpscontrols was in some part due to our company's strong family-like culture and team-oriented, service-based approach. He's based out of Palm Harbor, Florida with two of his kids, Emily (11) and Jacob (9). Additionally, Josh has an older son named Ethan, 19 and attending the University of Illinois, where he's studying mechanical engineering. Josh also lives close to his mother and father and twin sister Sarah. In his free time, Josh enjoys coaching Emily in softball and Jacob in baseball, and indulges himself in tons of golf (handicap: 4), running, and CrossFit — which, again, all sound a lot to us like super-committed activities based on robust achievement and success.Josh is currently enrolled in the executive MBA program at the University of South Florida, scheduled for completion in May of 2022, so there's that whole overachiever thing right there again. Just: wow.If it's not clear by now, all of us at alpscontrols.com are excited to have Josh join our team — and if you're reading this and you're a customer of ours, very soon you're going to come to appreciate his deep knowledge and commitment to the success of your projects as well.
